The sonic quality, the liner notes and of course … the artists and the music are just brilliant. How can I say? Mantler once more delivered a master piece. Once after a concert I had the chance to talk to him and I told him that he is one of the few artists in my record collection that has always released 100% quality, no single "unnecessary" note. He just smiled and said: "It's all a question of editing". This answer seems typical for Mantler, the great composer between Jazz and New Music. Great that Dark Companion has made this production possible.
