Priska is a French-born singer-songwriter and longtime resident of Friuli. She began playing guitar in the early 1990s, initially aiming to join a rock band, but her path soon led her toward a deeper exploration of music, culminating in her graduation in classical guitar from the Udine Conservatory in 2006.
This is her fifth album following the critically acclaimed La sémantique des rêves. A solitary and elusive artist, far removed from the mainstream, she crafts songs of striking emotional intensity, where fragility and depth coexist in a finely balanced, personal language. Her delicate songwriting evokes intimate, vividly drawn scenes, carried by a velvety, amber-toned voice reminiscent of Bridget St. John and Patty Waters.
Each song unfolds with a quiet, hypnotic strength, drawing the listener into a world of subtle atmospheres and introspective beauty. Sung and written in multiple languages, this new album marks a clear step forward in her already distinctive and refined craft.
It features 11 original compositions alongside a touching cover of a Sergio Endrigo masterpiece. Recorded between Friuli and Berlin and mastered at the renowned Elfo studios by Alberto Callegari, the album once again confirms Priska’s exceptional artistry and singular voice
