The music of FLUIDO ROSA materializes by combining the experience, the sentimental maturation and the sound style of each individual member of the band.
With the production of Danilo Cherni and Maurizio Perfetto, from a musical point of view “Abaton” is a concept album with a thin line that combines Prog Rock, Pop, Ambient and Research, completing itself with the lyrics of Gabriele Marciano.
The lyrics of Abaton constitute a single body, to be understood as different declinations of the theme of madness.
Psychologists and psychiatrists will easily recognize the many references to schizophrenia, in the titles of the tracks, in the verses, in the psychological and imaginative panoramas.
I cite for example the "presence" of David Bowie, an artist who has given shape to many experiences of schizophrenic quality, of Frida Fromm Reichmann, psychotherapist, of her patient and writer Joanne Greenberg.
Other references are to schizophrenic ideas evident in religion, philosophy, even non-Western culture, art, in the widespread feeling of contemporaneity.
The one-minute interstices, each composed by a member of the band, have the title of BLIPS, an acronym that indicates brief limited and intermittent psychotic symptoms.
Madness, in Abaton, is not however an object that describes itself, in favor of the intellect or of specialists or the curious, but a theme that alludes to something less visible, to non-conscious thought, which plays such a large part in everyone's life and in relationships, and which can become ill, and therefore heal.
The album title itself refers to the ritual healing obtained through the incubation of a dream in a sacred place (precisely the Abaton) of the sanctuary of Epidaurus, thanks to the god Asclepius.
The content of the album is placed on an existential plane denied by the material and rational conception, dominant today, of the human being.
It is an invitation to dream, to healing, to hope.
