About two years ago, Inglese and Nannetti released their first album together.
They were the songs of a lifetime recorded in “Lavorare per distrarsi”.
At sixty years old, you don’t start a new profession but you draw the conclusions of what you’ve done up until then.
They got a taste for it and here is the new work: “L'arte di arrangiarsi”.
Thirteen songs, some developed on youthful ideas and others brand new.
A handcrafted work built day by day through a long-distance dialogue between Pistoia and Bologna.
A close exchange of audio files, dozens of versions of the same song assembled, dismantled and redone again until the final one.
The musical references are explicit: Italian, French, North American and Latin singer-songwriter music; folk tradition (Italian and Irish especially) and some progressive reminiscences.
The lyrics are personal stories of their experiences enriched by some rereadings of poets like Dylan and Pazienza.
Important contribution from instrumental friends on guitar, cello, percussion and wind instruments that have colored an almost totally acoustic sound.
