Baro prog, a nearly 50-year history of music and friendship, has released 3 albums (or prog-jets) so far and is about to churn out a new effort.
“prog-jet iv: Aionverse” is the full title of this concept album, a rock opera with 8 characters conceived and directed by Alberto Molesini, aka Baro, with ample space left for 14 guests including performing singers and musicians.
Among them Heather Findlay (Mostly Autumn, Ayreon) and Iacopo Meille (Tygers of Pan Tang).
Mature progressive rock with jazz, techno and world music contaminations, extensive use of vocal polyphonies with the aim of making complex compositional and sound architectures usable and fluent. A 20-page booklet with stories, lyrics and images aids in undertaking the listening, which becomes a journey into the timeless dimension of Aionverse.
