Beppe Crovella, composer, performer, “solo artist”, original member of arti & mestieri and main composer and producer of the band, is certainly one of the most active and interesting artists on the scene today. He’s at home with progressive music and jazz rock as well with coul nad jazzy music, not forgetting classical oriented music and avantgarde and...sogwriting as well. If arti & mestieri are one of the most appreciated and acknowledged bands in the history and in today’s progressive rock and jazz rock, Beppe has quite as surely gained a precise position as “solo artist” in his piano solo’s adventures, his hammond soulful albums, with mellotron and avantagarde’s flights. “Al mio paese” is a very intimate album, a “double CD” recorded Live at S. Sebastiano, his village, in an ancient Castle. On this record he performs some of the most intimate music he has ever written and he sings some of his “love songs” as “love” is definitely a trademark of this album, focusing on the “love” for his village.
