MARCO ONGARO - “Solitari” CD
Author song and prog find a meeting point! "Solitari" is the title of Marco Ongaro's eleventh studio album, out on March 25, 2022. The parterre of musicians accompanying the singer-songwriter is remarkable, including the prog band of Logos !! Three years after "Il fantasma baciatore", the singer-songwriter, writer and poet Marco Ongaro returns to be talked about with an album made with the support of the producer Gandalf Boschini and played by the prog-rock band Logos (Luca Zerman keyboards , Fabio Gaspari guitar, Alessandro Perbellini drums) and by David Cremoni electric guitar, Marisa Pasquali violin, Giacomo Cazzaro sax, Adam Clarke bagpipes, Barbara Lorenzato choirs, Erik Boschini piano, Luca Sanmartin bass and programming. The author's pop-rock sound gives a new scent to the songwriter's poetics, more engaging and enveloping in the 12 tracks that make up the album, where the words find an important support in the instrumental parts, sometimes in the background, while other times they become predominant as in the title track and in the airy rock of "A verso". Also noteworthy is the remake with an adapted text in Italian of the Procol Harum classic "Homburg", testifying to the breadth of influences of Ongaro, who loves to look at music from multiple angles. Biography Marco Ongaro Veronese singer-songwriter, poet and writer, Marco Ongaro made his debut as a singer-songwriter with the album "AI" (1987), which earned him the Targa Tenco for Best First Work after an experience in dance music with the pseudonym O’Gar. It follows in 1990 "I am beautiful inside". After the third album in 1995, "Certi dreams do not come true", he retired from the scene for five years to re-emerge in the artistic activity in 2000 writing the lyrics and music of the autobiographical album by Grazia De Marchi "Let me live", which is followed by the album dedicated to Scespirian heroines “Shakespearian”, interpreted by Giuliana Bergamaschi. Back again to record with the rock poetry of "God is elsewhere" in 2002. From the early 2000s his work is directed towards other creative levels that apply the poetic and musical technique to the theater, with texts, music and dramaturgies for shows multimedia. After three other albums, "Nuclear Explosions in Los Alamos" (2004), "Postumia Archive" (2005) and "The Roaring Years" (2007), in 2011 he won the Lunezia Prize for the Song of the Author and the Giorgio Lo Cascio Award with the eighth album “Songs for adults”, a swing and jazzy melange. After five years of theatrical and literary activity, in 2016 he published the unplugged cd "Voce" containing his re-adaptation in Italian of Leonard Cohen's song "Hallelujah", followed by the single "Hotel Bella Italia", translation from the famous Eagles song " Hotel California ". In 2018 the tenth album, "The kissing ghost", brings him back to the rock world. In November 2021 he publishes the book “A poet can hide another, the meaning of the word by Serge Gainsbourg”.
