Thirty years after the release of Morgana, the Prowlers' debut album, Alfio Costa and Stefano Piazzi, the album's authors and composers, as well as the band's keyboardist and guitarist, return to explore its essence in a completely new guise, creating a work that is simultaneously homage, reinvention, and bold sonic experimentation.
"Morgana 1994–2024 – An Unconventional Celebration" is neither a simple reissue nor a nostalgic undertaking: it is a radical journey into the depths of the original material, filtered through thirty years of experience, contamination, and expressive freedom. The historic songs are dismantled, reworked, and reconstructed in an experimental key, making room for new sounds, rarefied atmospheres, and visionary incursions that defy conventional labels.
The result is an album that retains the progressive heart of the original work, yet expands its boundaries, transforming Morgana into a timeless sound laboratory, where memory and avant-garde, melody and deconstruction coexist.
With "Morgana 1994–2024," Costa and Piazzi create an unconventional tribute that fears risk and instead courageously embraces it, confirming their commitment to a free, personal, and ever-evolving art form.
Guests include the group's longtime vocalist, Laura Mombrini, and current drummer Simone Colzani.
