Finally also in double vinyl de luxe edition the latest RanestRane album.
The Roman group returning from the successes of the previous albums, which took them on tour practically all over the world, took advantage of the pandemic closure to plan the new work.
This time the film to see in concert and to listen on the cd is Apocalypse Now!!! The 1979 film directed by Francis Ford Coppola and loosely based on the novel by Joseph Conrad, Heart of Darkness, is the background to a series of sublime songs, full of musical pathos as the Italian group has always accustomed us.
Sung in Italian and, once again, like the previous "The Wall", for two voices (Daniele Pomo and Riccardo Romano) makes sure that their music is at the service of the film, the narrative and the atmosphere they want to recreate. So Apocalypse Now ends up being the album by Massimo Pomo, the guitarist. In previous works his similarity to David Gilmour emerged splendidly in the solos, but otherwise the guide was Riccardo Romano on keyboards. On Apocalypse Now he is the one who leads the group and affects the music.
A splendid album for all Pink Floyd fans but also for those who want to rediscover the taste for new music with a slightly vintage look…
