“Osannaples” is the new documentary by M. Deborah Farina (already an author and film scholar with many publications to her credit including a manual of rock cinema and the feature films “Paranoyd”, “Anarchitaly” and “Down by Di Leo”), and presents itself as a true rockumentary on the history of Osanna. The historic Neapolitan progressive-rock band was a forerunner in the birth of Naples power and in the construction of the musical counterculture of Naples in the 70s and is still a point of reference for lovers of the genre today.
This by Deborah Farina was a very long and elaborate job, which lasted about three years between writing, production and post-production. Almost entirely made by the director herself, with the production support of her protagonist: Lino Vairetti, co-founder of Osanna with Danilo Rustici.
