Giovanni Battista Belzoni - the Giant of the Nile famous for having revealed the secrets and works of the ancient Egyptians with his extraordinary discoveries - sails from Gibraltar in June 1823, destination Timbuktu. He stops off in Madeira, Tenerife, Cape Verde, and finally lands on the northern branch of the Niger delta, south of Lagos. He wants to reach Benin City and from there go up to the Queen of the Sands, from which no white man has ever returned.
During the voyage at sea, he thought about his adventures for Europe for a long time, he passionately told his companions on board. Paris, Copenhagen, London, Egypt, Russia. He reasoned about the companies that made him famous in Europe and planned the almost impossible mission that awaits him, enlightened by faith and love Sarah, the woman he joined for over twenty years.
He is determined to rewrite history. But fate has decided that he can only be a legend. This record tells what happened while sailing, between storms, memories, friends, dreams, languors, love and good wine.
A great return with a series of great guests from Franco Mussida (founder member of PFM) to Lino Vairetti (Osanna) passing through the great Paul Mazzolini (aka Gazebo) to Marta Caldara (Syndone) and Andrea Pettinelli with his keyboards….
In short, Gigi Venegoni and Sandro Bellu (true geniuses of opera) with the help of Mauro Mugiati, Carlo Belotti, Silvano Borgatta and Fulvio Bosio have brought the band back to repeat a work that is proposed as the best in the musical field of 2022. < p>
The stalwart Marco Zatterin is the conductor of the bands, who rises from the height of his musical culture as the genius of the lamp ... or rather the discoverer of a new journey ... ..
