VIII Strada returns with Città Totale, their third double album: a record that blends memory and live energy, featuring five live tracks, two bonus studio tracks, and the remastered reissue of their first album, "La leggenda della grande porta."
A historic Lombard prog-rock band, VIII Strada has been active for years in theaters, festivals, and clubs, combining tradition and innovation. The project began as a laboratory of musical craftsmanship, where sounds, harmonies, and words are shaped to create works capable of conveying emotions and deeply engaging the listener.
Over the years, the band has achieved important awards, including first place at the Bubble Gum Rock Contest (Teatro Smeraldo in Milan), first place at Scorribande, and victory at Emergenza Rock, which earned them access to the international final at the London Astoria, where they placed third in Europe. They also reached the final of Sanremo Rock after a selection process of over 15,000 bands.
VIII Strada has performed numerous concerts in Italy and abroad, including a collaboration with Patrizio Fariselli (Area). They have shared the stage with artists such as Arena, Pain of Salvation, Tony Levin, Biglietto per l'Inferno, Osanna, David Jackson (Van der Graaf Generator), and Enzo Avitabile.
The band released La leggenda della Grande Porta (2008) and Babylon (2015); Città Totale today represents the culmination of their artistic journey.
