“Opium populi" is the first Tazebao album released in September for Ma.Ra.Cash. Records. "Opium Populi" is also a manifesto against any religious fundamentalism and ideological extremism, which speaks of the destructive force used against those who are not aligned or is hindered by the design of some power strong. It does so by means of an apparently anachronistic "instrument" and with a distant event over time: Cataraiah heresy, and the birth of the Inquisition. Easy to think of Marx's phrase: "Religion is the people's opium!" How to say the opposite at this historic moment? Tazebao's music is a set of experimentation, prog, rock that easily approaches Area, CSI, NCCP but also Porcupine Tree or Gong ...
