On May the 30th 2011, SKE – 1000 Autunni was released, under the AltrOck/Fading Records label. It was the solo debut album of Paolo
Botta, better known at the time as the keyboard player of one of the most acclaimed R.I.O/Avant Rock new bands: Yugen. The album was praised by critic and public alike, for its miraculous equilibrium between symph prog and avant prog, and went OOP in a few months. The band's numerous linup included a good part of Yugen plus members from french band Camembert, greek Ciccada and swiss Spaltklang. Thanks to this extended timbric palette, the music can remind of very different bands one another, such as Gentle Giant, Hatfield and the North, Änglagård, Picchio dal Pozzo or Henry Cow. On June the 1st 2013 during the AltrOck/Fading Festival at Casa di Alex, Milano, there was the first and only live concert of SKE, with Francesco Zago (Yugen, Not a Good Sign) on guitar, Jacopo Costa (Loomings) on vibraphone, Valerio Cipollone (Yugen) on clarinets, Mattia Signò on drums, Pierre Wawrzyniak (Camembert) on bass and Paolo Botta on keyboards. The concert included some heavily-rearranged studio material, plus some prog classics covers and even an unreleased tune. On July the 13th 2018, finally the studio album reprint is available again by the name of “1001 Autunni”, in a remarkable digipack with additional notes and including as second CD, the live performance.
Currently a new SKE studio album is in the workings, and it will guest, besides the the band's musicians, some among the best musicians out of the current Prog scene.
