[CD]

Prometheo \"D\'un fuoco rapito, di un giovane uomo, d\'un amore ins
After the release of the first single made with the support of Puglia Sound and the Apulian Public Theater, these Apulian boys dedicated to progressive rock, present themselves in the music scene with a debut that places them among the most promising bands of the Italian rock scene. Of a kidnapped fire, of a young man, of a senseless love, it has been published for Falena Records, now distributed exclusively by Maracash Records, and the fact that the name of the band was taken from Greek mythology already suggests the concepts that animate this debut, made of a nice progressive with some passages contaminated by jazz and funky. Theirs is a demonstration of reached maturity with compositional ideas, also very personal, but which refer to the large progressive groups that in the seventies coined the made in Italy; from these, in fact, Prometheo took the idea of progressive background to coin its own sound that already in the opening song is presented in all its completeness. In fact, Prothós is a real business card for Prometheo in a piece that already recalls that Italian rock we were talking about before, where the styles, merging, give life to a basic rock and that distinguish the Apulian band. It is enough to remember the touches of hammond by Andrea Siano which strongly recall fundamental phrasing here which, years ago we found for example in E 'Festa della P.F.M. And it seems that the Prometheo have, as their main inspirers, precisely the Premiata which is no longer that of the beginnings and years to follow, up to Jet Lag perhaps. With Il Ratto Del Fuoco we go back to the dawn of rock theater of which the main performers, at least here in Italy were the Osanna (Palepoli). In fact, all these musical references are contained in this piece capable of moving from sustained rhythms to changes that have a lot of the Neapolitan band. And the Neapolitan rock of the sounds in this piece contains, in conclusion, a beautiful solo guitar, that of Alessandro Memmi. Fuga is the right piece to stop the wave of rock, a song lasting only 1.38, as if it were that passage to Banco's harpsichord contained in Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso. And so after the quiet, the musical storm of Canto I returns, which is truly disruptive with its rock, the one you never tire of listening to, because it is the result of a compactness of the band and a common way of understanding music. Prometheo know what they want, and in addition to keeping the scepter of progressive rock high, they are, in our humble opinion, one of the best bands on the Apulian music scene, and not only that. And so the Prometheo publish this album which shows how the Apulian creativity has become a brand. A record to have. Tracklist: 1. Prothos (5:13) 2. Il Ratto Del Fuoco (6:05) 3. Fuga (1:38) 4.
