Recorded in 1974, “La Cometa” (The Comet) was never released and distributed, and for 39 years has remained hidden from the general public; it’s a still actual album both on musical and lyrical aspects, which would have come out on RCA label.
Over the years, the name Reale Accademia di Musica has also been used by other session musicians, but the real line-up broke up just after the recording of this LP, and never asked for an explanation for an improper use of the band’s name. Who ever thought of listening to the real Reale Accademia in those 'apocryphal' achievements, not only can possibly turned out disappointed, but will certainly have noticed the clear differences against their historic first recordings.
But "La Cometa", which comes out now after almost 40 years, is actually performed and recorded by the real members of Reale Accademia di Musica: there we find the original founders Henrik Topel, Federico Troiani and Pericles Sponzilli, along with a host of new friends that helped them to record the LP. Another hidden gem in the endless panorama of Italian progressive rock!
