New album for RanestRane.
The Roman group, fresh from the successes of the previous albums, which took him on tour practically all over the world, took advantage of the pandemic closure to design the new work.
This time the film to see in concert and to listen to on the cd is Apocalypse Now !!! The 1979 film directed by Francis Ford Coppola and loosely inspired by Joseph Conrad's novel, Heart of Darkness, is the background to a series of sublime songs, full of musical pathos as the Italian group has always accustomed us to.
Sung in Italian and, once again, like the previous "The Wall", with two voices (Daniele Pomo and Riccardo Romano), it ensures that their music is at the service of the film, narrative and atmosphere they want to recreate. Thus Apocalypse Now ends up being the record of Massimo Pomo, the guitarist. In the previous works his similitude with David Gilmour emerged splendidly in the solos, but otherwise the guide was Riccardo Romano on keyboards. On Apocalypse Now it is he who leads the group and affects the music.
A splendid album for all Pink Floyd fans but also for those who want to rediscover the taste for new music with a slightly vintage look ...
