Collective born in 2019 inspired by the historical sci-fi space series 1999 of which it is not intended to be a sterile homage but a bearing memory, with the idea of setting the epic narrated in the first series to music in a concept.
The project takes concrete shape in 2019 thanks to Loris Furlan (Lizard Records) who, enthusiastic about the concept and original subject of Pierpaolo Lamanna, puts them in direct relationship with Alessandro Seravalle (Garden Wall, Officina F.lli Seravalle and various projects) author of the musical trunk on which all the work develops. Milo Furlan (Scarled) on drums and Gianluca Tassi (Black Jester, Moonlight Circus, Faveravola) on bass are soon recruited to form the rhythm section. A further turning point then occurs with the entry of Mirko Baruzzo (Spirosfera, Anam and other stories) who with his "ethnic paraphernalia" gives "cosmic breath" to the project, blending well with the material written by Alessandro Seravalle, and writing in turn 2 songs and several arrangements. At this point, exactly 20 years after that ideal narrative line of the series which was September 13, 1999, the "moon Arcadia" is officially out of wandering orbit in free space. On his way he will cross and take aboard with him in the various stages the schizoid cello of Mariano Bulligan, Simone d'Eusanio and his violin now dreaming now sharp, and Lorenzo Giovagnoli (Odessa) who with his orchestrations opens and closes the concept re -interpreting a fundamental musical passage from Il Testamento degli Arcadi. The instrumental concept is divided into 10 tracks, each of which is linked to a specific episode of the series and is accompanied by a textual part which, read in its entirety, represents a unitary story, accompanied by the splendid illustrations by Laura Gamba, and completed by the masterful interpretation on the cover of the planet Arcadia by Roberto Menegon. Musically the work is heterogeneous and varied, even here the idea was to set music for a journey that had different moods inside, and therefore we are faced with 10 songs in which rock, cultured progressive, psychedelia space coexist and blend. krautrock, dark, noise, classic in a really compelling maelstorm. Each of the participants played a well-defined role in the series, the idea was also in this case to associate the interpreter, depending on the role held, with a specific character in the series, in order to give a unified reading to the whole concept, in order to obtain that each of the elements (musical, textual, visual and artistic) merge into a single interpretation.
