Estamos extremadamente orgullosos de anunciar el nuevo álbum de Blaine L. Reininger de Tuxedomoon, ahora un artista de Dark Companion. Ocean Planet es un trabajo ambient-avangarde escrito, grabado y mezclado por el mismo Blaine en Atenas, Grecia y está compuesto por 12 pistas, profundamente intensas, atmosféricas e introspectivas.

La hermosa portada está tomada de un cuadro de la esposa de Blaine, Maria Panourgia. Algunas de las pistas estaban guardadas en el cajón de Blaine desde hace un tiempo cuando el productor Max Marchini descubrió que algunas de ellas, aquí propuestas, encajaban perfectamente una tras otra, describiendo un maravilloso e intimista continuo.

Nació Ocean Planet, el debut de Blaine en Dark Companion. Por cierto, eso es natural, ya que el nombre de nuestra empresa fue tomado de una vieja melodía de Tuxedomoon. La mayoría de las canciones están hechas para este álbum, mientras que algunas otras fueron diseñadas formalmente para otros usos, como escribe Blaine en el folleto:

*”Shelley Hellas” utiliza un texto de un poema épico de Percy Bysse Shelley llamado “Hellas”. Se encargó para un proyecto en el Centro Cultural Stavros Niarchos, Atenas, llamado "Una canción para Grecia".

†”Bones” utiliza citas de un texto de Samuel Beckett, encargado para un proyecto teatral griego.

‡ “Ocean Planet” y “Encantations” se usaron en una producción para el Teatro Nacional Griego de “Troilus and Cressida” de Shakespeare dirigida por mi esposa, Maria Panourgia.

§ "Iris" se usó en una producción griega de "El malentendido" de Albert Camus dirigida por Yannis Houvardas.

El álbum fue masterizado por Alberto Callegari en los legendarios Elfo Studios en Tavernago (PC).
