Osannaples, the award-winning documentary film by M. Deborah Farina, released in 2021, has become a novel.
Recently, in fact, the Roman author, director and cinema historian carried out the transposition, giving life to "Osannaples Rock Romance of a psychedelic dream" (220 pages).
It is a valuable and rich work, of great socio-cultural and musical interest, which accompanies readers into a dimension in which the past, merging with the present, becomes a becoming of creative and avant-garde projects, just as they were, they are and will be Osanna, the historic band protagonist of the novel.
The book is the result of documentation, research, testimonies, through which we know the history of musicians who have marked important moments in the history of music and have been the expression and voice of movements of great cultural importance.
The preface is by Lino Vairetti, founder together with the late Danilo Rustici of Osanna, personally involved in the project together with the band "as the protagonist of a national and international revolutionary musical ferment defined as "progressive Rock...made in Naples."
Through the pages of the book we immerse ourselves in their adventure and that of the various musicians who raised the quality of the Neapolitan sound, with the explosion of the aforementioned movement, bringing it to international levels.
