With the music business been hit by the covid-19 pandemia, all the bands have been forced to stop touring, but artists all over the world haven't stop writing and recording music. So did Dimitri Sardini, long time member and guitarist of the italian prog band Moongarden. The project Youthopia sees the light during the lock down period in 2020 with Dimitri Sardini recording around 2 hours of new and old music ideas. With the arrangements and artistic production of Cristiano Roversi, these ideas turned out into a 10 pieces and 70 minutes album that explores various music genres, from guitar instrumentals, to hard rock and modern classic prog suite.
With Dimitri Sardini of Moongarden (author of all music and lyrics) on guitars, Jeff Scott Soto (Yngwie Malmsteen, Soto, Trans Siberian Orchestra, Sons of Apollo, Journey, Talisman and many others) on vocals, Marco Minnemann (Steven Wilson, The Aristocrats, Guthrie Govan, Tony Levin, Jordan Rudes and many others) on drums, Cristiano Roversi (Moongarden, Submarine Silence, John Wetton, Bernardo Lanzetti, Saro Cosentino and many other) on keys, the album "Misha's Journey" by YOUTHOPIA turn to be a real trip into rock&prog and guitar instrumental experimentation.
From Dimitri Sardini's electric guitar tricks on Uncle Joe, to the modern classic rock songs like The Muse or Stay Human which confirm Jeff Scott Soto is still the king of rock singers, from Marco Minnemann's perfect drumming which perfectly adapts to every music context, to the various stylistic playing of Roversi who can safely range from Jon Lord to Tony Banks, "Misha's Journey" is the perfect album for those who love rock, screaming guitars an prog music from the 80s to the present day.
