In a famous interview, Allan Holdsworth left his fans one of the most important musical legacies, a legacy worthy of his adventurous musical career aimed at research and development experimentation: "always be yourself, at any cost".
In the era of homogenization of consciences and speed of communication, a group of musicians (who later also became friends) courageously decides to produce a record that can make Holdsworth's message relevant again.
While musical tributes and covers rage, Y.O.U. (this is the name of the project) instead they decide to create original compositions, dedicated to the memory of the English guitarist.
The alchemical operation does not occur by addition, subtraction or mystification of the holdsworthian corpus, but deepening the metaphysical aspect of the musical matter and, therefore, encouraging interaction with the creative aspect.
In this sense, the 8 pieces dedicated to the genius of Bradford are able to dialogue with modernity, in line with Allan's teaching: "be yourself at any cost"
