After their innumerable previous works (their homonym first album was released in 1999) Lazuli created a masterpiece on 14th February 2020: “Le Fantastique Envol de Dieter Böhm”.
It’s the eighth album of the band and it’s is a short story divided in four acts, with a prologue and an epilogue; a musician (Dieter Böhm), suddenly finding himself alone on a desert island, decides to sow a musical note which, growing, becomes a melody and eventually a song.
Dieter will eventually deliver the song to the sea foam and the waves, sure of its spread, as in the most classical and happiest of epilogues.
“Le Fantastique Envol de Dieter Böhm” is a great album: qualitatively well thought, that sounds balanced and lacking of faux pas. Their inspiration shines through the tracks.
