Matilde of Canossa was the most important woman of the Middle Ages. Over her have been written and called rivers of words, and over the centuries her myth has grown more and more.
In the multitude of tales heard occasionally or recurring in various books of the fairy-tale tradition of Reggio Emilia, often Matilde of Canossa often uses Matelda's "Matelda" project conceived by Gigi Cavalli Cocchi and Marina Ligabue, which stimulated by these testimonies, decided to tell them in music with a disc called "Leggende" and with a show that re-performs them alive. Ancient and recent legends, the result of the fantasy of the people of a time and of today's novice menestrelli.
The musical genre combines elements of Celtic music with acoustic rock and the song of author, classical sonorities and folk cadences. The group completes with Daniele Morelli and Filippo Chieli, extraordinary musicians from the renowned pedigree.
