The idea of our project was born years ago around a table in a pub in Glasgow, Scotland. We’ve been playing tunes together for a while and
always enjoyed the connection and energy between us.
It was only in 2022 that we managed to finally begin our adventure as a band and to put together a repertoire. Our wish has always been to preserve that spark, intimacy and dynamics we could feel while playing sessions together in bars and to do that we decided not to focus on compositions and arrangements but rather on playing tunes we love.
The repertoire is what gives us a common ground on which we are free to create, make variations and improvisations on the go while listening to each other and react to each other’s playing. This is how this album was created over 2 days of recording, sitting in a room together, trying to capture that energy we enjoy so much. Hope you’ll feel it too while listening to this record!
